Role Overview
We are seeking a Python Developer to design, build, and maintain an educational blockchain platform used for academic credentialing, course completion records, and verifiable certificates. You will work closely with instructional designers, registrars, and IT staff to implement a permissioned blockchain that lets students own and share tamper-proof learning records while giving institutions a reliable audit trail
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain blockchain components (smart contracts, ledger services, APIs) primarily in Python
- Implement digital credential issuance and verification (e.g., W3C Verifiable Credentials, Open Badges)
- Integrate the blockchain layer with existing LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard) via REST APIs
- Write and test smart contracts (Solidity or Python-based frameworks such as Vyper, Brownie, or Web3.py tooling)
