Role Overview
You will join the team that gets media to the player. We decide which files and formats each device receives, package them for adaptive streaming, and make sure they are in the right place on our CDNs before people press play.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, context switching, and building trusted relationships across engineering teams. You will need to be comfortable operating with autonomy, adapting to different team cultures, and influencing technical direction in codebases you did not originally build
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and support backend media processing and packaging services - with a sharp eye on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Work primarily with Rust, Python, and Java, leveraging C/C++ libraries - all running smoothly in Google Kubernetes Engine.
