Role Overview
Arcadia Publishing (Charleston, SC), the nation's leading publisher of local interest books, is seeking a motivated and experienced publishing sales professional to expand sales and strengthen relationships with independent bookstores and specialty retailers across multiple categories
Key Responsibilities
- Grow frontlist and backlist sales across Arcadia's imprints, including Arcadia, Arcadia Children's Books, Applewood, The History Press, Belt Publishing, and Pelican.
- Expand business with existing accounts, reactivate dormant ones, and proactively acquire new accounts.
- Conduct in-person and virtual sales calls, leveraging market and account knowledge to recommend product selection and order quantities.
- Use Salesforce to manage accounts, track sales activity, and enter orders.
- Maximize backlist sales through inventory reviews and targeted sales strategies.
